The Photographic Society of America (PSA) is a worldwide organization. PSA-recognized exhibitions must meet strict exhibition standards. Images that are accepted into exhibitions can be used to earn Star Ratings and ultimately PSA Recognition of Photographic Achievement (ROPA) distinctions. The Projected Image Division (PID) includes open or general subjects photography; there are no limitations on subject matter or techniques used for image capture or post processing. There are two PID Stars tracks - Color and Monochrome. Some exhibitions do not include a monochrome class, but accept monochrome images in the open (color) division.
