Description
Photographic art by Dawn Currie. Every time I visit the Brevard Zoo with my camera, this Red-crested Turaco seeks me out. I've taken several photos of him, but this is my favorite to date.
Red-crested Turacos (ITauroco erythrolophus) orignate from Western Angola. They eat mainly fruit, but also feed on small inertabrates and seeds. The primary threat to this species is habitat loss.
