After decades of outlawing religion, the Cuban government now allows worshipers to practice their beliefs and still remain a member of the Communist Party, and therefore maintaining access to jobs and education opportunities afforded party members. On Palm Sunday, the Basilica Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Senora de la Caridad del Cobre held multiple services for a packed house.
