Description
Photographic artwork by Dawn Currie. Recipient of the Photographic Society of America's Bronze Portfolio Distinction. This portfolio is in honor of our Winged Ambassadors, rescued birds that must remain in captivity due to injuries or imprinting on humans. Now they serve to educate the public regarding what we can do to protect our wildlife. As a nature photographer and wildlife rehab volunteer, these birds hold a special place in my heart. Completed as a fundraiser, I strove to capture portraits that celebrated their unique beauty. Portraits of ten birds of prey, including Great Horned Owl, Barn Owl, American Bald Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Crested Caracara, Black Vulture, Red-shouldered Hawk, Short-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, and Swallow-tailed Kite.
